Prof. Dr. Ulun ULUĞ

He was born in Istanbul. After completing his medical education at Hacettepe University in 1993, Ulun ULUĞ specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at Marmara University.  He passed the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing) exams and worked as a fellowship in the department of reproductive endocrinology at GBMC Hospital in Maryland and as a fellowship in the same branch at Israel Technion University Haemek Hospital. He played a role in establishing the first preimplantation genetic diagnosis unit in Turkey at the Istanbul German Hospital. Between 2000 and 2014, he applied in vitro fertilization treatment to thousands of couples at the German hospital and Bahçeci Umut in vitro fertilization center. He put forward the idea of ​​the Reproductive Health Association (URSAK) and became a founding member to protect the reproductive potential of individuals and couples diagnosed with cancer. 

Prof. Dr. Ulun ULUĞ has nearly 30 years of experience in reproductive endocrinology and in vitro fertilization treatments. Infertility surgery is his area of ​​interest, especially the correction of congenital anomalies of the uterus and intrauterine pathologies. He has more than 50 published articles in the leading international scientific journals on his subject and more than 1800 citations to them. He is above 92% of scientists worldwide in the RG rating tracked by international institutes. He was ranked among the top 10 physicians in Turkey in terms of international citations by Google Scholar. He participates in national and international congresses as an invited speaker. He served as the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul Altınbaş Kemerburgaz University Faculty of Medicine between 2015 and 2017. He is currently a lecturer at Haliç University Faculty of Medicine and a member of the faculty board of directors.

He has memberships in the American Society of Reproductive Health (ASRM), the European Society of Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Turkish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (TJOD) and the Society of Reproductive Medicine (UTD). Prof. Dr. Ulun ULUĞ has written chapters in 5 books, one foreign and the other national. Reproductive therapies certificates issued by the Ministry of Health are available for both clinical applications and laboratory applications. Prof. Dr. Ulun ULUĞ is a referee in prestigious scientific journals such as Fertilty and Sterility, Human Reproduction, JARGE and RBM Online.
